Police stumped over details about shooting

Kissimmee Police are trying to figure out who shot a visitor from Virginia, and where the shooting took place.

"We heard a large crash and when he looked out the window the truck was sitting on top of the fire hydrant," said a man who lives along West Bay Street in Kissimmee who asked us not to use his name. He went outside to see if the man, who had crashed, was okay.

"He told me his back was hurting. I didn't see any injuries, but he did show me a little blood he had on his hand on his arms and around his fingers."

But moments after police arrived on scene, they discovered things were much more serious. "He told officers he'd been shot. I was really shocked," said the neighbor.

Moments later, Terry Manley, 46, lost consciousness. Now, with several unanswered questions, detectives are having to work this case backwards.

"The big question is, what happened? You don't typically see someone driving off with a gunshot wound," said Stacie Miller.

Before investigators got there, Manley tried filling in some details for the folks trying to help him. "He said he was from Virginia, an antique dealer, in town doing business," said the neighbor. Manley also told him that he'd had dinner at Popeye's chicken. Then, he tried to hand over his phone. "He wanted us to call his family in Virginia notify them," said the neighbor.
