This may be helpful for those who have low vision. I haven't tried it, so can't say it works or not. Just came across it looking for something else.

Turn On and Use Magnifier
Magnifier is a display utility that makes the computer screen more readable by people who have low vision by creating a separate window that displays a magnified portion of the screen. Magnifier provides a minimum level of functionality for people who have slight visual impairments. This procedure tells you how to turn on and use Magnifier. I checked out sande's recommendation and do like the option. Took me a little while to figure out how to maneuver the screen around but it's great for seeing a "portion" of the screen in a larger text. It's easy to start and easy to end the application that you have available right on your own computer. I recommend it for those having visual problems with smaller fonts.
